Big Brother 9’s Neil Speaks Out To Fans About His Departure

The mysterious departure of Neil, one of the few enjoyable Big Brother 9 houseguests, last week left us with many unanswered questions. In the vacuum of answers rumors are always quick to fill the void. Thankfully Neil spoke out on his MySpace page today with the following message:

Thank you so much for the outpouring care, support, and concern from all the BIG BROTHER fans. This has been a difficult time for my family, which I am dealing with privately. The drama is slowly being resolved, and all is headed to a brighter place.

I am now happy to say, that I am spending time with close friends and family. I wish Joshuah the best of luck and hope that he keeps up our brilliant strategy to win the big prize with my replacement, Sharon. Please know that I will NOT be back to the BIG BROTHER house and contrary to some web speculation, I was not let go for health reasons. Eeek! Again, thanks to each and every one of you for your support during all of this Big Brother business.

Okay, so that doesn’t answer why Neil left, but at least we know he’s okay and whatever the issue was it is getting better for him. Best of luck, Neil. We’ll miss ya on the show.

This BB9 is getting sickening, jen and Ryan are rake over the coals for being a couple, but The two “suppoains lesbians are no differert, Ryans partner wanted him.

I noticed Neil’s departure is around the same time as the NIU shootings. Also, one of the victims was Catalina Garcia, the youngest of four children. Could this be Neil’s younger sister? Best wishes to Neil and his family…

Adam, that’s a very keen observation. That could very well be what happened. It’d be interesting to hear the real story if Neil ever decides to share it.

Neil is from LA and born in Texas.

I am sure if that was really the case someone would have leaked it.

Where he is from and where he lives now dosen’t have anything to do with where his sister goes to college. Not that it matters, the NIU victim had two brothers, neither of which are named Neil.

I sadly believe that the NIU shooting death of Catalina Garcia was a relative of Neil’s. It is not his sister but maybe a cousin. Catalina had 3 siblings, 2 brother names oldest, Jaime (25) and Joel and 1 sister Mayra. There is a picture taken at the funeral that looks just like Neil. I really hope this isn’t why he had to leave the show. If it is, my thoughts are with him and his family. It was very tragic and no family should have to ever go through something like this.

@Chris: sure, we’ve known about that for weeks. It was a hot topic for awhile, but just doesn’t get mentioned as much anymore.
