“Big Brother: After Dark” Returns For Season 9 On SHO2

Beginning February 12th, 2008 at midnight “Big Brother: After Dark” will return in conjunction with the return of Big Brother in its first ever winter season. Just as in the previous season “After Dark” will air every night from 12AM - 3AM (EST) on Showtime 2 or “SHO2″. The renewal was announced today by the Showtime Networks’ President of Entertainment, Robert Greenblatt:

“Big Brother: After Dark was a big success for us at bringing an audience to very late night time periods on SHO2. This began as an experiment with our friends at Endemol and CBS, and I’m happy that it worked so well for all of us,” said Greenblatt. “I’m amazed at how much curiosity there is about what goes on in the Big Brother house after the lights are out, but what better place to present that than on SHOWTIME where we have a lot of on-air real estate in the wee hours of the morning.”

I’m glad there showing Afterdark again it had its moments. I’m still grabbing the feeds though, thats where its at.

Definitely gotta have the feeds. I’d be interested in seeing After Dark but I won’t be signing up for SHO2 just to get it.

Big Brother wouldn’t be the same without the feeds.
So what do you all think about the rumor of a 6 week season? I hope it’s just another stupid made up internets rumor. In my opinion keep the format the same, 12weeks the more the better. OH and wheres the bring the Zach man back campaign? heheh

@Simon: It’s an interesting rumor going around about the shorter season. I can’t think of a strong reason for CBS to shorten it down considering they’re doing this to fill empty gaps. A 6 week schedule would put them at a funny point of stopping at the end of March. Unless the strike turns around quickly and they’ve got content aplenty to show off in prime time I think we’ll see the full schedule run until May. (hoping so at least!)

Hah! A bring back Zach campaign. Now that’s one I hadn’t heard about. I’d pay money to watch Dick and Zach go at it for another all-nighter w/ the keys in the rabbit garden!

I think BB9 is the best one yet as far as “Showtime after dark. They always try to make it worth watching. I think Amanda is the favorit girl and Alex is the Bomb. He is sooo good lookin. Thanks Showtime for another season of BB great times. Rita, Lake Havasu
